Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by removing energetic blockages and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

Thai Yoga Bodywork
Traditional Thai massage is an age-old practice with a thousand year tradition in Thailand, originally developed in Thai temples and enjoyed by Thai royalty. Thai massage has its roots in Buddhism, Thailand’s national religion, and was influenced by the ancient Indian Ayurveda integrated with Chinese practices.
Traditional Thai massage is based on pressure points along ten key energy lines of the body, which power all physical, mental and emotional processes. If there is an energy imbalance, the body’s harmony is disrupted, causing pain and disease. Massaging along these key energy lines can break energy blockage, stimulate the circulation and restore general well-being. In this form of massage, the recipient is fully-clothed, in a loose-fitting top and pants. Massage oil is not used. The massage is done on a mat and the massage therapist employs a variety of yoga stretches to improve range of motion and deep-pressure massage to stimulate circulation.
